How do I know I’ll get paid?+
The stake is locked in a public smart contract before either player starts. When the result is verified, the contract pays the winner automatically — no one can decide not to pay you.
What happens if we disagree on the score?+
If the two screenshots conflict or the score can’t be read confidently, the match moves to Disputed and a human reviews the evidence before any payout. Your stake stays locked in escrow the whole time.
What if my opponent quits mid-game?+
You’re not stuck waiting. Submit your own final screenshot; after a short deadline (usually under an hour) the match settles from it and pays whoever actually won — quitting can’t freeze your winnings. Unclear results or brand-new accounts get a quick human review first. If a match truly can’t be resolved, both stakes are refunded after a 7-day timeout, and that refund is on-chain and immediate.
What does it cost?+
A flat 2.5% of the pot on a settled match — nothing else. No deposit fees, no withdrawal fees. See the Fees page for worked examples.
What is USDC and why do you use it?+
USDC is a US-dollar stablecoin: 1 USDC is worth $1. Using it means stakes and payouts hold a steady dollar value instead of swinging around like other crypto.
Which games are supported?+
Madden NFL, EA Sports College Football, FIFA, NBA 2K, MLB The Show, and NHL, head-to-head. More games are added based on player demand.
Is this legal?+
Spolia is skill-based competition — matches are decided by how you play, not by chance. You must be 18+ and it’s not available everywhere. Availability and terms are being reviewed by counsel; check your local rules.
How does the AI read my screenshot?+
The desktop app captures your scoreboard at kickoff (0–0) and again at the final, and an AI vision system reads the final score — both teams’ points and the clock — to decide the winner. Clear, full-scoreboard shots verify fastest.
What if the AI gets it wrong?+
If a read is low-confidence or the screenshots don’t agree, the match goes to human review before payout. Nothing is settled on a guess.
How fast are payouts?+
When both screenshots agree and the read is confident, the contract pays the winner within minutes of the result being submitted. If your opponent never uploads, you’re still paid off your own screenshot once a short deadline passes (usually under an hour).
What is the Code of Honour score?+
It’s a player’s track record — clean settlements, honourable ratings from opponents, and any disputed matches — so you can see who you’re about to play before you stake.
